What happens in the next year will truly be something to watch. The decision the old WISE ones make will shape our county for the next 50 years. What a scary thought! I hope Travis Turner knows what he is getting himself into. There is no return trip back to Appy he is on a one way road, which is a dead end. </div></div>If the kids from Appy do not want to go to the new school with PV when consolidation happens then that is their decision. It won't bring Appalachia High School back if it happens. It won't really help things. Really, I think that if it were not for the rivalry, that there wouldn't be such a fuss over this. Taking high school rivalries too seriously can be a dangerous thing.
I am sure that Travis does know what he is "getting himself into." That is why he made the decision. He obviously saw some promise in that position or else he would not have taken it.
Who cares if he doesn't end up back at Appalachia? Surely it isn't the end of the world.
